The Bertarelli Foundation has awarded collaborative research grants to four teams of scientists representing Harvard Medical School, its affiliated teaching hospitals, and IOB. The three-year grants ($300,000 per project per year) focus on understanding and treating deafness, blindness and pain.

This study, published in Translational Vision Science & Technology, demonstrated the safety and feasibility of a home-based OCT monitoring under real-life conditions, and provides evidence for the potential clinical benefit of the device.
