New perspectives, inspiring conversations and plenty of ideas to take forward. Our ambassadors returned from the Basler Stiftungstag 2026 energised by the people and foundations shaping Basel’s philanthropic landscape.
“Stronger together: Partnerships on equal terms” was the theme of this year’s Basel Foundation Day (Basler Stiftungstag), and one that resonates strongly with us at IOB. Progress often starts when different perspectives come together, people learn from one another and new possibilities come into view.
We were delighted to be part of this year’s event. The Basel Foundation Day is a valuable opportunity to connect with Basel’s vibrant foundation landscape, exchange ideas and get to know the many foundations supporting meaningful work across the region.
Our ambassadors Rebecca Brütsch, Eric de la Fortelle and Bence György represented IOB and returned with plenty of new ideas and inspiration. As a foundation where researchers and clinicians are united to restore vision, we greatly value opportunities like this to build relationships, learn from others and explore where future collaboration might lead.
